Canyonlands tour - October 2, 3,4, and 5

If you are attending the Utah tour, here is the web site for Eddie McStiffs. We will be dining there as a group on Friday Oct 3rd. Looks like a fun place. 

And Bucks Grill house will be the location for the group Saturday dinner Oct 4th.

Update 7/23/08:

I apologize for the confusion regarding hotels and dates.

Originally, the trip was going to be Friday through Monday.  But  we were unable to get rooms at Ruby's Inn for the first night, Friday. That messed up the entire tour plan. The fellow at Ruby's asked if we could come a day earlier (Thursday) since he had space available for us then. That's why the dates were changed from Friday-through-Monday to Thursday-through-Sunday.  

In any case, you need to make reservations at Ruby's for Thursday night, October 2nd, and at the Best Western for Friday and Saturday nights, Oct 3rd & 4th.  

Here is the information on making your Thursday night (night of October 2nd) reservations at Ruby's:

• There has been a block of ten rooms reserved in the name of "BMW Z Club". 
• Twin Queen beds, non-smoking, $99 + tax 435-834-5341 
• Sales person; Lance, whose number (in case their is a problem) is 435-834-8022
• Any room not reserved with a name and credit card by Sept. 10th will be released. 
• The restaurant does not take reservations.

And here is the information on making your Friday and Saturday night reservations (nights of October 3rd and 4th) at the Best Western:

• I managed to get us a good group rate at the Best Western based on the eight definite participants. I block booked ten rooms under my name in case we get a few more joining us but the group rate will remain the same regardless. I booked five rooms with 2 queens and five rooms with a king, all non smoking. These are pretty nice with a sitting area as a bonus. The normal rate is $164.99 + tax but I got us a group rate of $119.00 + tax. Bear in mind Moab is a jumping place at this time of year because of all the tourists doing what we're doing. The Best Western is in downtown Moab within walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. Now here is the deal on the rooms, if we don't get 8 or more reserving their room, the rate jumps up to the standard rate for the rest of us. Obviously, we can't have this happen so if you are one of the 8 on this list you pay for your room whether you attend or not.
• Please call the Best Western now to select one of the 10 rooms of your choice. When you call, I have the rooms block booked under the BMW club (not Z anything) just BMW club. I guess it doesn't matter who you talk to there but I have talked with Sabrina, Tiffany. Here is the number 1 800 649 5191

If you have firm preferences as most of us do, you would do well to get on the phone NOW and get your reservation. Please send me a brief email and let me know you booked.

I have also attached a link to each of the parks so you can check them out. If you have a lifetime National Park Pass, be sure to bring it with you or you will be paying to get in otherwise.
