Club Drive to Licano's Restaurant in Show Low - 04/13/19

Our destination is Licano痴 restaurant in Show Low, AZ. for lunch. (Link includes access to their menu.)

We値l meet at Goldfield Road off interstate 60 at exit 198. I believe this is Apache Junction. Turn right at the bottom of the off ramp and you will see a Chevron station about 300 yards to the south on the east side of Goldfield Road. We値l meet there at 9:00 AM and depart at 9:15 AM, approximately.

We値l get back on Interstate 60 and travel east through Superior, Miami, and Globe - a 55 mile drive - and we値l stop in Globe at the Chevron station at the far east end of town. There is a traffic light at that intersection. We値l take a 15 or 20 minute comfort break and also fuel if you need it.

Following our break there, we will drive north on Hwy 60 through the Salt River Canyon to Show Low which is 87 miles through some beautiful, scenic and fun-to-drive roads. When we reach Show Low, we will be at the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 260 (which takes you west to Heber & Payson). At this intersection, continue on hwy 60 and Licano痴 is about ス mile further on the right hand side of the street, . Their address is 573 W. Deuce of Clubs and their phone number is 928 537 8220. We expect to arrive sometime between 12:00 and 12:30 and we have reservations for our group. Just tell the receptionist you are with the Arizona BMW Z Series Club.

If we are running early for our ETA we can use the extra time to refuel for the return trip. The weather forecast as of today for the 13th is a high of 52 degrees and sunny, but some strong winds may be present.

Please bring this route guide with you, along with your club name tag and your communication radio. If you wish to purchase the much better and more powerful Boafeng radio, a full 5.0 watts, let me know in advance and I will bring a new one with me; the cost is only $35.00 and is far superior to the store bought ones that are only 0.5 watts.

There are two routes to return home - your choice. Either return the same way we came up, or take Hwy 260 west through Heber, Payson and then south on Hwy 87 to Fountain Hills.

Please email me your RSVP in a timely manner so I will have a head count for the restaurant.

Paul
