(Last Minute note:)
OK, we're headed to Wickiup and specifically,
Dazzo's Country Store (restaurant)
on Hwy 93 toward Kingman & Las Vegas. Wickiup is 74 north of Wickenburg
and 26 miles north of hwy 97 where we usually turn off going the back
way through Skull Valley to Prescott.
I think somewhere around 12:30 PM might be a good time to arrive
at the restaurant
Dazzo’s is open both inside and, on the patio, and of course we
have access to the restroom which is a big plus!. The patio is not
large enough for all of us but we can distance ourselves inside if we
wish but we’re not required to do so. Dazzo’s has no rules or
regulations about the Covid virus. The maximum number of
souls, we can have is 28 and we currently have 11 cars and 22 souls,
it looks like that will be the total, the attendance list is attached
and there is room for 3 more cars and 6 more souls.
Thanks,
Paul
Dazzo's in Wikiup, Arizona - 7/11/20
Since being
locked in our homes with the Covid situation, we're all chomping at the
bit to go on a tour. The eat in restaurants we normally patronize are
closed for indoor eating and that leaves us out of using the restroom
facility as well. That doesn't work for us so I concentrated on the
picnic idea. The choices were few for various reasons that I won't go
into now. Then, I came upon Wickiup and specifically,
Dazzo's Country Store
(restaurant) on Hwy 93 toward Kingman & Las Vegas. Wickiup is 26 miles
north of Hwy 97 where we usually turn off going through Skull Valley to
Prescott and overall distance from the start is about 120 miles.
Dazzo’s sits right on
left of the highway and you can't miss the big America flag in front so
it’s easy to find. Our VP Mike Hunt has eaten there many times and told
me the food is great and the reviews I read were all extremely positive
as well. I phoned Dazzo’s today and they are open both inside and on the
patio, and of course we have access to the restroom which is a big
plus!. We can eat inside and on the covered patio but the patio
heat may be uncomfortable. The patio is not large enough for all of us
but we can distance ourselves inside if we wish but we’re not required
to do so inside or outside, Dazzo’s has no rules or regulations about
the Covid virus. The maximum number of souls, we can have is 28 and some
of those may have to be on the covered patio, heat or not. With regard
to Covid, wear your armor suit if it makes you feel safer.
I'm sending a new
attendance list out (attached) asking for a definite yes and the
first 14 cars or 28 souls will be the limit the restaurant can handle.
Please give me the # of souls in your party when you respond.
I know there are some
members rightfully concerned about the Covid virus, but since we will be
in the middle of the desert it should be safer than eating in town but
there are no guarantees, make whatever decision you're comfortable with.
Please give your
answer some priority so we can finally get it completed and organized
for July 11th. I'll be looking for your RSVP. Once I get the head count,
I'll send out the details of the tour guide, starting location, start
time, comfort & fuel breaks, etc.
As usual, please
send me your RSVP so we have an accurate count for the restaurant.
