February 5, 2022. Peppersauce Kitchen in Oracle, AZ

WE HAVE RESERVATIONS BETWEEN NOON AND 12:30 FOR LUNCH.

We値l meet on Goldfield Rd. exit 198 off East Hwy 60.  At the bottom of the ramp, you will see the Chevron station on the east side of Goldfield Rd about 50 yds south, our meeting place. The GPS is 3265 S. Goldfield Rd. Apache Jct.  We値l assemble there at 9:45 AM and depart at 10:00 AM.

We値l get back on hwy 60 and drive east to Superior, about 35 miles
and from Superior we値l turn right, south, on to hwy 177 toward Winkleman, that will be about a 32-mile leg. There is a gas station on the corner of hwy 177 & 77 at Winkleman and we can stop there for a comfort break and fuel if you need or want it. If you fill up there, it will probably get you all the way home so there will be no additional need for another fuel stop.

Departing the gas station, we turn right on hwy 77 about 35 miles to American Ave East in Oracle, the turn off is well marked. Remain on American Ave East until the name changes to Mount Lemmon rd/hwy and follow Mount Lemon rd/hwy to the Peppersauce Kitchen, about 10 miles, a very scenic drive with curves. Peppersauce Kitchen GPS is: 35406 S. Mt Lemmon Rd, Oracle, AZ  85623.

After lunch we値l return home on a different route as follows: Drive back on Mount Lemon rd/hwy to where it intersects with American Ave West and turn left, in about 2.5 miles it will take you to Hwy 77 West, turn left on hwy 77 and head West to Oracle Junction, about 10 miles. At that junction, pick up hwy 79 North to Florence and Apache Junction. It痴 75 miles from Oracle Jct to Apache Jct. & hwy 60, turn West on 60 to get back to the Valley and home. If you prefer, you can return home on the same route we took to get there, your choice.

Looking forward to a club event since there has been none since our Christmas Party. Hopefully, everyone has recovered from all the holiday activities and ready for a new year full of fun club events. We have something really special coming up in March in addition to the March tour but those details will be sent out later.

The March club drive will be on Saturday March 5th, destination undetermined at this time but will be forthcoming.

Cheers,

Paul & the club officers, Mike Hunt, VP and Treasurer, Jim warren

Paul & Carol Ebeyer
