CREEKSIDE RESTAURANT

Woods Canyon Lake

Saturday, June 18, 2022
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will be making a lunch drive to the Creekside Restaurant near Woods Canyon Lake on Saturday, June 18th. This is a relatively short tour, about 100 miles one way. It’s up on the rim so we should get some relief from the heat in the Valley. For your GPS the address is: 1520 E. Christopher Creek Loop. Phone 928.478.4557 ext #2.
We'll meet at Fountain Hills in front of the Target store shopping center. The center is located near the intersection of Shea and Saguaro Blvd's.  We will gather at 10:15 AM and depart at 10:30 AM. Please be prompt, as we have no desire to stand around in the heat . Our estimated ETA at the restaurant is noon +/- a tad.
We'll be heading north up Hwy 87 with a 15-20 minute stop at the Casino gas station in Payson for a comfort break. Then we'll continue about 1 mile north to Hwy 260 & turn east toward Heber. About 30 miles east of Payson, you will see a sign on your left, reading, “Christopher Creek” - that's the road we turn on to get to the restaurant. It's a loop road with entry and exit points both coming out on Hwy 260.  If you take the first entry it is nice scenery; the second is shorter but no scenery.  However, it doesn't matter, either entrance will get you to the restaurant (actually called a “tavern.”) Address and phone number are provided on the Creekside Restaurant link I inserted at the top.
Please arrive with a full fuel tank, your club radio, this route guide, and your name tag.
We had dinner at the Creekside once and lunch once; the food was wonderful, but a tad pricey these days. Lunch Menu. We will have the back room reserved for our group. Creekside phone number is 928.478.4389. The restaurant has a built in 18% gratuity for groups our size, so please be aware of this beforehand. I believe you will find the food and service well worth it but no guarantees.
WE DO NEED A HEAD COUNT FOR THIS ONE SO PLEASE RSVP
Paul Ebeyer, President
