May 24, 2025 - Lunch in Overgaard, then
a get-together nearby
We will be touring
to Overgaard for lunch at the
Wild Woman Saloon &
Grill.

Following lunch, Mike Hunt, club VP, will
lead us for a visit to his summer home in Overgaard.
We will meet at the Target store in Fountain
Hills at 10:15 AM and depart at 10:30 AM. Please have a full fuel tank
at the start and bring this route guide, your club’s name badge and your
club radio. Do not forget your appetite.
We will take Hwy 87 north to Payson and stop at
the gas station by the casino for a 15-minute comfort break.
Departing the casino, drive north on Hwy 87 to
Hwy 260, about ½ mile. Take 260 east to Overgaard, 55 miles to the
Grill. Our reservation is for 12:30, giving us two hours including the
comfort break, should work out about right.
I am expecting the weather to be “top down” at
the higher elevations. Just pulled this up off the internet.

In late May, Payson, Arizona experiences an average high temperature
of 76° and an average low of 43°. The average precipitation for
May is around 0.6 inches.
Let us try to get a good group for this event. We had only 9 club
members, and five cars, attend the Karchner Caverns tour and four of
them were Ebeyer’s. UGH!
Out of 27 cars and 47 members, we should be
able to do much better than that.
