TOUR OF MISSLE SILO
November 15, 2025
This tour will give us something different for
a change. It has been several
years since we last visited the museum. It is located 27 miles south of
central Tucson on hwy 19.
We will meet at 8:15 AM at the Love’s truck
stop at 7001 W Sundust Rd,
Chandler, and depart at 8:30 AM. Turn right from Sundust Road and get on
I-10 East. In approximately 85 miles we will be near Marana; exit # 246
there is a McDonalds and a Chevron
there if anyone needs a bladder break call
it out on the radio and we’ll stop for 15 minutes, no longer. Get back
on
10 and in about 15 miles we turn south to hwy 19 to Nogales, 27 miles to
exit the Hwy at Duval Mine Rd.
The Missile Museum is located at 1580 W.
Duval mine Rd. You can put this address into your GPS and make life
easier.
There are no plans for a group luncheon after
the museum visit. Most of us
will need fuel and if you want lunch everyone is on their own for the
rest
of the day.
