IMaintenance and Repairs of

I just wanted to
alert the group about my discovery of convertible top maintenance and
repairs for Rag and Hardtops. On both types, for maintenance, there is
fluid that should be drained and refilled and relay switches that
should be replaced. Trust me, you don’t want to wait for a problem
with your top. In the Z4 Hardtop, there is a series of wiring that if
a problem is discovered, a dealership with not fix, they want to
replace it all and parts and labor is over 5k. I found a mobile
convertible top guy who also has an air-conditioned garage at his
house in Mesa. On a mobile basis, he can replace the relays and change
out the pump fluid, but if wire repairs are needed, he will need the
car for a little while at his house. He had never worked on the wiring
on a Z4 and I gave him my car as a Guinea Pig, so others will have a
quicker turn around if repairs are needed. You all can call me if you
