Havasu City Tour - Feb. 05-06, 2011
Open itinerary information - route guide - route notes
The club is planning an overnight tour of Havasu City on February 5th & 6th, 2011. Our new club member Terry lives in Havasu and I asked her for some information that will help us plan our tour. Please read her responses below, and drop me an email with your preferences, thoughts and ideas. As soon as I receive input from the members, we can begin to firm up the details of the tour and suggest hotel accommodations. Also, please send me an RSVP either , yes, no, or maybe, and how many in your party. The last time we did this tour in one day it was a bit much and left no time to see and enjoy the many attractions in Havasu. Making it an overnight trip will certainly make it more interesting and split the driving up into two days. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hello Paul, I have been researching accommodations and thinking about Sat activities and dinner for the group but do have a few questions and I am not sure what you did when you were here last or how familiar anyone is with the area. QUESTION 1) Would they prefer budget hotel with lake view and nice restaurant dinner with channel view, an upper class hotel and lower price dinner, say at my club, or high end all the way? QUESTION 2) If you were to arrive in town by noonish, do you think anyone or everyone would like to take a boat cruise on the lake? The Dixie Bell holds many and has a cash bar, the Kon Tiki is a small boat that would hold only about 10. I would be glad to look into "group rates" for either boat tours. There is always the great Swap Meet on Sunday morning in the event anyone is interested. Again, thanks for a great time Sat.. Terry Chedotte
